What is it? 

The lottery is registered with Stafford Borough Council under the Gambling Act 2005.
The lottery is open to anyone over the age of 18 and entry in the draw costs £2 per month per number.
More than one lottery number can be purchased up to a maximum of 5 per person.

The Prizes

The prize fund will be 40% of that month’s subscription.

The prizes will be as follows : 1st prize 25%, 2nd prize 10%, 3rd prize 5%.

Prizes will be paid to the winners by their choice of a cheque or bank transfer.


The remaining 60% goes to Memorial Hall funds for improvements.

 

For Example

Based on 100 people paying £2.00 each gives a total of £200 collected each month.

40% as prize money = £80

1st Prize £50 : 2nd Prize £20 : 3rd Prize £10

The Draw

The draw will be announced on the last Saturday of every month.
The first 3 draws will be physical draws. Subsequent draws will normally be electronic using a random number generator, but may be physical draws from time to time. All draws will be witnessed by at least 3 members of the Memorial Hall Management Committee.
Winners will be notified by email or telephone and their name and lottery number posted on Facebook and the Memorial Hall notice board and website.

Having sent in your application, you will then be allocated your own Hixon Memorial Hall Lottery Number(s).

If you are paying by standing order, you then use your number(s) as the first part of the payment reference, followed by your name.

The preferred method of payment is by monthly standing order but payments can also be made by cheque or cash.

Normally entry is for 12 months but must be for a minimum of 6 months.

Payment must be received by the 10th of the month to be included in that month’s draw. Late payments will be included in the following month’s draw.

The decision of The Memorial Hall Management Committee is final and binding in any matter requiring adjudication.

Payment for entry constitutes acceptance of the above.
